Empowering Forest Communities Through Sustainable ERI Silk Value Chain

In Chandubi, Kamrup, women have long engaged in sericulture alongside farming, piggery and other livelihood activities. Yet these income sources have often remained fragmented and uncertain, leaving many households dependent on seasonal work and forest-based resources. In a landscape also affected by human-wildlife conflict, limited livelihood options can further deepen this dependence.

Enabling Cultural Commerce and Collective Growth

Operational since September 2025, OITIJJO Grameen Heritage Emporium (OGHCE) received NABARD support from June 2026, further strengthening its work towards artisan and producer development, market linkage and sustainable livelihoods.
